Dr. Haemi Lee grew up in the Ottawa region and maintains strong ties to the local community as a plastic surgeon servicing the Ottawa Southwest and valley. She graduated from medical school and plastic surgery residency at the University of Western Ontario to be qualified as a certified Royal College specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. She completed additional subspecialty training in breast and oncologic microvascular reconstruction in the University of Toronto, at the renowned Sunnybrook Cancer Centre to master surgical techniques in breast and body plastic surgery.

Dr. Lee was recruited to work at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa as the breast plastic surgery specialist, providing the community with access to breast cancer care. She is currently the only Plastic surgeon in Ottawa providing the entire spectrum of breast reconstruction.

She is in good standing with privileges granted by five hospitals across the city, ensuring that all her patients are well cared. Her main hospital is the Queensway Carleton Hospital, the premier hospital of choice in the west-end of Ottawa where she has enhanced the plastic surgery program and has served as the elected President of the Medical Staff, being the first and only woman of visible minority to hold the position.

Dr. Lee is also the founder of the Ottawa Institute of Plastic Surgery which has successfully provided plastic and cosmetic surgery for the last seven years. The Ottawa Institute of Plastic Surgery has developed a reputation for reliable service, comprehensive patient education, friendly efficient service, and excellent results. Dr. Lee focuses on natural balanced aesthetics, respecting cultural beauty
standards, with safe delivery of care for eligible surgical candidates.
